31' Allmand Allmand 31
1979 Buffalo New York 31 Allmand Allmand 31

o Beautiful, well-maintained, and enhanced wherever possible, this Allmand sloop is a steal. Originally Tim Allmand’s personal boat 1979, it has aesthetic touches not seen in any but the most expensive yachts. The interior is virtually all solid teak, including 3 6-panel doors, beautiful teak parquet floor throughout, teak side paneling, shelves, bulkheads and cabinets. The exterior has been maintained with yearly waxing, all woodwork varnished, bottom painting, and non-skid repainted. Updated with a brand new Lewmar Pro-series 1000 anchor windless, reupholstered cockpit cushions, and a new Garmin GPSMAP 440. Inboard Yanmar 3GM 27hp engine completely rebuilt in 2009, has about 40Hr use. Both the rudder and steering wheel quadrant platform have been rebuilt with fiberglass. We bought this boat in 1991, after our third child was born, because of its spaciousness, comfort and safety. From day sailing, to cruising, and even anchoring in the open waters of Lake Erie, this boat has done it all and proven itself to be exceptional. During our cruises and trips along lake Erie, we've comfortable roomed with three children and all the provisions necessary to keep everyone happy, including: a weeks supply or more of food and drink, three inflatable kayaks with paddles, fishing tackle, board games, books, tapes to CDs, computers, and even collapsible bicycles for when we docked. And we've safely sailed, albeit unintentionally, in 50 kt. gales. As a tri-cabin it can comfortably sleep seven, two in each bed and one on the main cabin couch. All interior cushions are six inch foam. Each cabin can be completely closed off from each other, and has its own screened hatch. Throughout the boat there are seven opening screened ports, and on each side a large Plexiglas window. The kitchenette has a four burner stove, oven, working refrigerator which can make ice if turned on high, and loads of space for storing and preparing food. Additionally, the boat is equipped with a brand new 6g hot water heater, a shower hose in the head, 2 tank propane container, 2 new batteries, Kenwood AM/FM c

43.5' Hunter 410
2000 Sarasota Florida 43.5 Hunter 410

2000 Hunter 410, I have no time to enjoy my beautiful sailboat, so it is with great reluctance that I am putting her up for sale. The Hunter 410 is one of the nicest boats you will ever have: she has a shoal keel (4'10"), yet points very well; she is seakindly, fast, has a huge, round cockpit which easily seats 8. Inside, you will be struck by the big owner's cabin (aft), whose berth has a big (64"x92") inner spring mattress, ample storage and lots of ventilation. The galley is on the starboard side. It features a 3-burner stove/oven, freezer, fridge, double sink, and Corian countertops. Across from the galley is a roomy nav. station, and the instrument panel. The main head, which can be accessed from the owner's cabin as well, is also on the port side. It has a full-size porcelain, vacu-flush toilet, and a big shower stall. The salon, which can accommodate 8 guests, has a big "U" shaped settee, and a separate bench. The forward stateroom has ample storage as well, and a berth with a 54"x78" inner-spring mattress. The second head is all the way forward. It, too, has a full-size porcelain toilet bowl (not a vacu-flush). The boat is powered by a 50HP Yanmar diesel, she has two a/c units, generator, inverter, complete electronics package, good ground tackle, and a Max Prop, making maneuvering a breeze. The sails are in good shape, and include a cruising spinnaker (with a sock), and a storm jib (there is a removable inner forestay). Please, contact the seller for more information.

Exceptionally strong and sea kindly sail boat in excellent condition, built for the first BOC race with over sized rigging and large sail inventory, lightly used. The boat was put ashore in 1990 and remained mostly under cover since then. The hull was re-blasted and painted with 2-part epoxy system, and interior rebuild started, new engine acquired also. The interior hull has a sprayed on insulation and so has never sweated and keeps very dry. Lots of room below decks with the interior divided up with 3 separate berths, saloon, large lazarette and forepeak area for sail storage and work bench area under the foredeck hatch. It is presently a work in progress with the cabin furnishing incomplete and the wiring and plumbing still to do, however the boat is in exceptional condition with very strong spars and rigging and the sails are all in very good shape (9 in total including storm sails and spinnaker). Also included is a custom 3-axle trailer. 8 Lewmar winches and SL windlass plus various lines, sheets and all hardware necessary for sail handling are included.

Being built a decade later, allowed for some new innovation in building that made her lighter and stiffer than her predecessors. Fiu has been our home for 6 months every year. There are three staterooms, 2 double aft and 1 v-berth forward. A single large head/shower with vanity area. All in fiberglass with easy access for maintenance and cleaning. The galley has a large molded in dual bowl sink and built in dish drain area. The best feature are the two long and deep seating areas in the salon. We have seated 8 guests for dinner and the long bunks make great lounging areas when reading or watching TV. Above the salon, there are large port lights to get rid of that typical down below feeling. Everyone who comes aboard, says the same thing when they come below, "This is huge!" The cockpit has a full enclosure for all weather sailing. Hydraulic steering. All instruments are on the NavPod with easy access at the helm.

50' Gulfstar Gulfstar 50 MK II Ketch

GULFSTAR SAILBOAT FOR SALE BY OWNER - Great cruising, and spacious liveaboard sailing yacht. Sabbatical is a 1977 Gulfstar 50 center cockpit Mark II Ketch. We have been the sole owner and cruising part of the year aboard her for over 20 years, while constantly upgrading her. She is the 3 cabin model with a classic teak interior. Recent upgrades include new standing rigging, the addition of 400 watts of solar panels, new genoa, addition of Adler Barbour 12 volt refrigeration and the addition of a new bowsprit/anchor pulpit. The auxilliary diesel engine is a reliable 85 HP Perkins 4-236. We have recently sailed her offshore from Venezuela and the ABC islands back to the US and she is fully equipped for offshore sailing and long term cruising and liveaboard. After our many years of cruising, we have reached that point in our lives where we no longer have the time to use or maintain this boat in the conditon we have in the past and it's time for a new project oriented owner to give her the attention she needs. We will be returning to and showing the boat in Ft. Lauderdale during January and February of this year. This vessel has been listed at $99,500, however given the attention she deserves and my limited time, I will consider letting her go to the first best offer over $70,000 for an immediate sale AS IS WHERE IS during the next two months. This is a great opportunity for someone capable of and willing to do boat projects who wants to pick of a great classic cruising vessel at a very good price. See the following for more information and a video tour. http://gulfstar4sale.webs.com If seriously interested, please reply specifically to this listing and reply by email and include your name and contact information. 30' Hunter 290
2001 Port Clinton Ohio 30 Hunter 290

This is the perfect boat for the beginner or the seasoned sailor. This boat has it all, from auto pilot to central aircondioning. The refrigeration is water cooled with the new type thru hull and there is no pump. We made this boat out to be our last and now we would like to have a bigger boat. Wind Dancer sails wonderfully, with the lazy jacks and the sail boot that cradles the sail. You do not remove the sail boot while sailing. When it is time to come in just drop the sail into the boot and when back at dock all you have to do is to zip it shut. It has some features not found on many boats like an electric head, works great. The rear cabin is unbelievable in this size of boat. We have had this boat in rough water and you never feel uncomfortable. It even backs up like a dream. It has it's own cradle and is stored at Catawba island with it's mast down. Nicely covered for our wonderful winter weather. It has no leaks and is nice and fresh. The 290 is exactly the same hull as the 306, but less money. The wood is teak oiled instead of varnished like the 306. Why pay 10k for some varnish. You will not be disappointed in this boat. Take a look at the pics, I would also take a trailer able sailboat in trade.

Outstanding example of this fine vessel. She's been all over the Carib and maintained and upgraded over the years. 3 owner vessel. Fully enclosed cockpit - you can be comfy in cockpit in the pouring rain. Full aft berth with head, moving forward on port is a 'workshop' - ease of access to engine is incredible. On starboard side is a full set of shelving and wet locker. In galley is a huge table that sits 6. Oven and range work wonderfully - heats FAST. Moving to forward is a roomy Vee berth, chest of draws and another head. The storage was sufficient for us to cruise 6 months with ease. Sails: Mizzen is brand new 2014, main is in great shape as is jenny. Lots of ground tackle, windlass, new electronics. Epirb. TONS of storage space. This vessel was designed to cross oceans, no question - check out Practical Sailor's reviews. She's a tank and sails well off the wind and for a cruiser points pretty well. Center cockpit is very roomy with great visibility even for a 5' person!

Act III is a well-found, safe, fast, comfortable performance cruiser designed by Doug Peterson: hull #220. We lived aboard her the past 5 years and she's taken great care of us for 30,000 nm, most of it blue-water. She handles beautifully in all weather. She has a comfortable, streamlined center cockpit. Large and private aft master cabin has kingsize berth, plenty of storage, en suite head, and is accessible both from main salon and separate companionway from cockpit. Spacious forward V-berth has private access to forward head. Upgrades include newly rebuilt decks (no leaks!); custom deck boxes, custom hard dodger with outstanding visibility and ventilation, new cockpit seat cushions, rig improvements, beautiful teak and lacewood cabin interior, and much more. 15 bronze opening portlights have been rebuilt with new safety glass (no leaks!); they allow exceptional ventilation throughout the boat. She has outstanding storage; the salon table converts to add a third double birth, allowing 7 to sleep comfortably. Arthritis and our need to spend more time with grandchildren make it time for us to sell Act III. She is a turn-key boat for any couple or family wanting to cruise anywhere in the world.

33' Hunter 336
1995 Bay Moorings Penetanguishene Ontario Outside United States 33 Hunter 336

This well maintained vessel is the highly sought after 1995 Hunter 336, with the teak bulkhead (large private vee berth cabin, and private aft cabin) layout. She is well equipped and wonderful to sail. The Hunter 336 interior is bright, warm and roomy, accented by hand-rubbed teak and handsome ash sealed with a clear vanish. There are 11 opening hatches, with 6’4” headroom in the salon. The full wrap-around galley is located to port with refrigeration, propane stove with oven, microwave and plenty of counter space and storage. Twin sinks are covered with cutting boards, and the refrigerator/icebox includes a hydraulic assist to keep it open while searching for refreshments. Built in dish rack, glasses and cup holders and a wine-rack are all little features that maximize space and convenience. LED lighting throughout and a cold plate refrigeration system maximizes quiet time at anchor. The Hunter 336 has a large comfortable cockpit. It is nearly round and seats six to eight. It has been designed for comfort and ease of use with high back rests, a built-in table off the pedestal, stern rail seats and a walk through transom for ease of boarding. The transom has two storage lockers, a stainless steel swim ladder with steps, a rubrail for protection for dinghy access and a transom shower. A line locker in front of the companionway helps keep the cockpit neat underway. This vessel is powered by a reliable and smooth 27 HP Yanmar diesel engine which was fully serviced at end of season 2014. Under power, the engine is remarkably quiet at hull speed. The boat has a very tight turning radius, and complete control backing down in reverse. Roller furling head sail, and fully battened mainsail with batcars and equipped with lazy jacks. Single line reefing. All lines lead aft to the cockpit. The mainsheet traveler is in front of the companionway (no stays or mainsheets to interfere with the full enclosure). The boom is supported with a boomkicker vang/lift. The speed, balance and simplicity of the large roach, fully battened main are amazing.

Following an extensive refurbishment, this exceptionally well-maintained yacht is offered for sale to an adventurous new master. Motivated seller has reduced asking price to USD $795,000, negotiable. She is a true owner’s blue water cruising yacht with comfortable accommodations for children and guests. High quality materials including Core-Cell structural foam, various E-glass reinforcements, Hydrex-100 vinylester resin and West Systems epoxy were used throughout. Structural components and furniture were vacuum bagged to optimize resin loading and adhesion. GRP structural members throughout the vessel add strength and stiffness, reassuring when the seas kick up. Papillon sports a strong and powerful rig and sail plan. The B&R rig is supported with Dyform wires. The mast is pre-bent and slightly raked. Support is derived from upper and lower shrouds and the forestay. 23' Seasprite 23
1976 Branford Connecticut 23 Seasprite 23

I purchased Brisa because I wanted to learn to sail on a safe boat. The Carl Alberg Seasprite23 design is just such a sailboat. I have sailed Brisa in 30 knot winds. I suffered a knockdown in forty-knot winds that had green water pouring into the cockpit and she rounded up beautifully allowing me to jump to the main and lower it. Mr. Alberg was dedicated to designs that were safe for the whole family. While in my care I have accomplished the following maintenance or improvements: · Remove and fiberglass potty seacock thru-hulls. No worries about leaking and less bottom resistance* · Complete removal of old bottom paint and barrier coat added with two coats of bottom paint* · New rigging including replacement of port and starboard chainplates, shrouds and spreader tips* · Removal and replacement of the deck mast-step area with reinforced deck board* · Added new main, jib and topping lift halyards · Replaced hanging compass with insert compass for more cockpit comfort. · New 15' of galvanized 5/8 chain for 20lb danforth main anchor. (Survived a 55-mile an hour blow in Potter Cove, Narragansett Bay. You’re not going anywhere with this tackle) · Replaced rode on secondary 10lb danforth anchor with 150’ dedicated 3/8 nylon anchor rode · Added battery box to better secure battery · Added battery switch for easy on/off. · Added led lighting. · Removed thru deck hardware, drilled out, refilled with epoxy, and sealed with 3M 5200 · New cushions (major expense) · New fenders · NEW this year, Toshiba six horsepower outboard long shaft. Easily pushes boat at hull speed.

28' Cape Dory
1978 Oriental North Carolina 28 Cape Dory

Youtube video of the Cape Dory 28 for sale youtu.be/sQVdKsgo6Mo Sailors in the market for a traditionally styled, sturdily built cruising boat under 30 feet in length have two options. They can spend $150,000 or more for a custom or semi-custom built boat from one of several manufacturers, or they spend a lot less for a good used boat from one of several production boat builders who used to build such models. The Cape Dory 28, offered by Cape Dory Yachts from 1975 to 1988, is the latter. This model was designed by Carl Alberg whose conservative design style seldom wavered regardless of size. I suspect he didn't like tinkering much with a proven formula. The Cape Dory 28 features a full-length keel with attached rudder, relatively low freeboard, a very handsome sheer and a well proportioned traditional trunk cabin. The bow and stern are nicely balanced and overhangs are a bit shorter, relative to the overall length, than Alberg's earlier designs. The overall length of this model is 28' 1-1/4". Hulls are constructed of a solid fiberglass laminate and are most often trouble-free, with the possible exception of some osmotic blistering below the waterline. Blistering is usually not severe and I have yet to see a case that I felt seriously compromised the safety of the boat.

26.2' Pearson 26
1977 Brooklyn New York 26.2 Pearson 26

Orange Crush is an incredibly well equipped and cruise ready 1977 Pearson 26, Hull #1459, plus 8 foot Walker Bay hard shell dinghy with outboard. She is in great shape and has tons of extras and recent upgrades. The boat has great character (not without some cosmetic imperfections) but she turns heads everywhere and gets compliments from people with much larger and fancier boats. More importantly, she has been well loved and cared for, everything works well and is structurally sound, and she has proven herself a fast and fun boat to sail and capable long distance coastal cruiser. This was the perfect choice for my first boat when I bought her in 2008. In the 6 years I've owned her, I have logged over 10,000 miles of coastal cruising between Brooklyn and the Bay of Fundy, something few if any other P26s can claim. I have been constantly upgrading Orange Crush to meet the high demands of this type of sailing and I've invested over $15,000 into her improvement. I never anticipated selling, so many of the repairs I have made have been to ensure her structural safety and long life. At this point, I can no longer ignore the allure of crossing oceans, and as much as it pains me I will part with Orange Crush and start saving up for something bigger. Nothing would make me happier than to pass her on to someone else looking for a small but capable keel boat, maybe the perfect first boat for an ambitious coastal sailor. If you want something for local daysailing only, this boat is probably more than you need. But if you want an affordable boat that can sail well beyond your immediate vicinity, this is an incredible deal. Buying something less well equipped and improving it to the extent that I have would cost you thousands more and hundreds of hours of work (believe me, I know). Please see a more complete description and full equipment list, plus more photos and videos at Crush For Sale, and click "See more" under the album title for the complete description.

35'0' Hunter 356
The first of the Glenn Henderson designs, the Hunter 356 set the standard for the next generation of Hunter sailboats. Contemporary styling, easy to maneuver and sail, with good stability and performance, the Hunter 356 makes your time on the water a pleasure. And with almost no exterior wood, you can spend your time sailing instead of varnishing! On deck, all lines are led back to the cockpit for safety, while the in-mast furling and roller furling headsail make sail handling a breeze. The walk-thru transom makes boarding from a dinghy or the swim ladder easy. The signature Hunter Stainless Steel Arch provides wonderful control with end boom sheeting and the traveler controls are within easy reach of the helmsperson. A generous amount of cockpit seating and the two stern rail seats are a natural invitation to relax in the cockpit. Below decks, the spacious and open feel is that of a much larger yacht. The finely varnished teak interior features large, easy to grab fiddles and softly radiused corners. The saloon features a convertible dinette that is large enough to easily seat four- with lots of elbow room to spare. Forward is a roomy V-berth cabin, while the owner's stateroom aft features loads of storage and a queen size athwart ship mattress- with a headboard! There are Corian counters throughout, a stall shower in the head and a galley with separate refrigerator/freezer compartments and lots of counter space. All of this design innovation earned the Hunter 356 some well deserved recognition. It was Cruising World's "Best Production Cruiser under $200,000" in 2001, their "Boat of the Year" in 2002 and Sail Magazine's "Top Ten" in 2002! If you are looking for a mid-size boat and comfort and performance are important to you, then definitely consider the Hunter 356. A note on buying and selling safely:
Anytime you buy or sell on the Internet, due to the geographic reach of the ads, be careful of fraud.

It has recently come to our attention that at least one seller has received a scam e-mail offer in which the buyer offered to overpay for the boat and then requests a check for the difference in return - what has come to be known as a classic "Nigeria" scam.

Requests to overpay for the boat and have excess money returned or given to a shipping company are most likely fraudulent -- never do this without consulting with your bank first.

Please always use caution and your best judgment if presented with a deal which doesn't seem logical, and be sure to talk with your bank to be sure all checks and transactions have been completed, cleared, and verified before releasing any property. Be especially careful of any transactions from overseas where such transactions might be reversed after some time due to fraud.

  • Never give your password to anyone. SailboatListings.com will never ask for your password. Any such request is an attempt at phishing.
  • Be careful of buyers or sellers using free email addresses (hotmail, yahoo, etc.)
  • Contact the buyer or seller by (non-cell) phone as well as online to help confirm their identity.
  • If a boat is not where it says it is, this is a strong indication of fraud.
  • After discussing the details, have the boat surveyed and arrange to see the boat before any money changes hands.
