Description: The prototype of this yacht was designed by Charles Morgan in the early 60's as a custom yacht for yachtsman James B. Turner for whom Morgan later designed the 72' Big Toy. "Ginger" won over 100 trophies as a Gulf of Mexico racer in the 1960's. Only 5 were ever built and Ginger may be the last one left of these wonderful racer/cruisers. She is also a small live-aboard boat. My wife and I lived aboard during a six month cruise through the Florida Keys. She has also made the crossing to the Bahamas. A wonderfully stable boat with 2500 lbs of lead in her keel. The swing keel design produces a draft on only 2'10" with the centerboard up and 7'6" with the centerboard down.

Equipment: Her mast which was used for Morgan 30's was installed in the early 70's. Roller furling for jib/genoa drifter. Boat has 2 mainsails, jib, staysail. LAYOUT: vee-berths forward, enclosed head space with hanging locker opposite, 2 settee berths in salon, custom antique drop-leaf mahogany table, parquet cabin sole, stainless steel sink, deep ice chest to port, 2-burner ORIGO non-pressure alcohol stove to starboard EQUIPMENT: 20 lb. CQR anchor
