Herreshoff NEREIA 36 Ketch (45' LOA)
Presently on the dry in Edgewater, MD (close to Annapolis, MD USA) in a marina with full amenities including showers, pool, snack bar etc. The marina is not far from shopping centers, restaurants, lodging, marine hardware/supply stores, rental centers etc. Liveaboard's are welcome at the marina. Slip tenants are allowed to work on their boat while it's in the marina's shipyard. Shore power is available close to the boat. She is sitting next to a full service marine repair center. Slips that include shore power and water are currently available at the marina and the re-launching fees have already been paid up-front.
This boat has been out of the water since November 2008. The bottom and sides have been scraped to reveal areas that need wood work prior to re-caulking and painting. The boat needs some attention in the lower transom area and a few areas under the rails. The Perkins 4-108 has been winterized but not run in two years. There is a full compliment of sails that go with the boat. All of the navigation equipment and electronics were in working order two years ago but are older and probably should be updated if serious blue water cruising is the goal.
The overall condition of this boat is very sound. She is well worth the effort and deserves someone with more time (or money) and ability (and a better "ticker" than I have) to bring her back to her glory days. Now that good weather is right around the corner, the work needed to get her back in the water will resume. As time and work progress, so will the Asking Price. I will entertain any reasonable offer "AS IS" at any stage of her restoration. |

NOTE: Although I live over 500 miles from Liberty Marina, I have no problem meeting any serious party who is (financially) able to purchase a boat, at the boat in Edgewater, Maryland USA. The Hull Identification Number is NO. 293826. I am the sole owner of this lien free boat (SUMIKI II). Any monthly marina fees which may become due prior to the sale of the boat will be paid by me. The new owner will be granted my full marina slip contract rights through the end of the sale month.
