Owner's Comments
It should be noted that a Sydney 36, SpiderGlide won her IRC B fleet in the Ft. Lauderdale to KW race (2009) and finished 2nd in fleet in the Pineapple Cup. Thus, this boat is good around the cans and in long distance, open water racing as we have demonstrated with our victories in NOOD's, Verve Cup and in the Chicago Mac race. As you indicated yesterday, the Sydney 36 can tolerate the high winds and big waves and sail at boat speeds nearing 20 kts without damage, as she did in the '06 Chicago Mac, finishing 2nd overall, only 4 seconds behind the overall winner!
