I call Isabella a "freak of nature". For her size-range she is strong, safe, and comfortable at sea. She performs well in both light and heavy winds. She is an extremely forgiving boat and would be the perfect cruising boat for either a single-hander or a couple. She is made of extra thick fiberglass-reinforced polyester resin hull with 1/2" Polyurethane insulation, which keeps temperature inside comfortable in any type of weather. Deck is plywood covered with fiberglass. I have personally sailed this boat around the Hawaiian Islands, across the Pacific Ocean from Hawaii to Canada, and down the West Coast to San Francisco where she currently rests on the hard in the Napa Valley Marina.
In the past year, the boat has undergone a major refit and upgrade: newly painted Awl Grip exterior (hull) and Interior paint, interior and exterior wood refinishing, epoxy painted bilge, installed new depth sounder, new bronze prop, new cushions and upholstery, and much more.
This boat is fully equipped for cruising with strong ground tackle, multiple sails for varying wind conditions, Norvane Wind Vane, two solar panels, plenty of spare parts, a radar, vhf, and stereo. See additional equipment below. |
