| Description: |
422s are the rare center cockpit cousin of the 424s. Many have circumnavigated, and this boat has sailed the Black Sea, Mediterranean, the west coast of Africa, and been on multiple
Caribbean tours. They are moderate displacement boats, and will move in light airs when heavy displacement boats are motoring. Yet, unlike many of today's light displacement
boats, she is strong. The hull to deck joint is glassed, instead of simply bolted. The hull and keel are integral. The rudder is skeg hung.
This boat has beautiful wood paneling throughout. She has 6'4" standing headroom, which makes her feel open. In addition, the dining table has been made convertible so
it can stow in the aft cabin hallway. This creates a huge open living space in the living room, with the nav desk part of the work space. In many other center cockpits this size
you have to duck to get into the aft cabin. In addition, the work space in the hallway is very functional, with lots of storage space for tools and a full workbench. The vessel has just returned from being sailed 4,000 miles around the Caribbean to film the Docudrama "Saelyn," and is birthed in Fort Lauderdale Fl.
Accommodations
Enormous aft cabin with walk around queen on both sides. Amazing for a boat of this size. Doors to engine and bathroom. Comfortable V-berth with direct access to bathroom. Custom living room with a pull out couch for a double bed. Lee cloths for both settee's. 2 heads. Force-10 propane stove (3 burners), double sink. Pressurized water and foot pumps. One hundred thirty gallon water storage. One manual and one electric flushing toilet. Large table/dinette seating six comfortably. This is a comfortable, well-designed boat that sails easily. With a huge solar panel and battery bank, your energy needs are easily met. Her systems are functioning and she is ready for the next person with a cruising dream. |

Additional Information
The Pearson 422's sailing performance has been one of her charms since the day the first hull was launched.
Bimini foundation painted to look like wood, with bamboo water catchment that works well. The Bimini is built out of 3 inch aluminum tubing, and is exceptionally strong.
Dodger: zips open to allow air to flow through and zips to the bimini to keep rain out. Or, leave it open to get a good view when manning the helm
Aluminum spinnaker pole
WIFI Antenna
Full tool set, snorkel gear, fishing pole, stainless steel pots and cast iron pans,
Spare alternator, starter, etc.
Two dinghies. Caribe inflatable hard bottom that hoists up on the davits (fair). Walker bay sailing dingy that sits on the fore-deck (fair), with walk around room. There are too many things to list! Come have a look to see all of the kit that comes with this boat. |
