Description: Silverheels is a fine example of early Pearson Brothers boatbuilding. Details like the cast stainless steel ventilators, new fixed and opening ports, recent AwlGrip paint job and classic lines produce compliments at every destination. Designed by Bill Shaw, an 11 year veteran of Sparkman & Stephens before joining Pearson, Silverheels has all the beauty, charm and speed to please even the most discriminating owner. A fast racer/cruiser with an average speed of 7.8 knots, this boat is no stranger to speeds exceeding 12 knots in a blow while providing a safe, solid feeling due to her strong construction and capable rigging. Her yawl rig provides the proper sail plan for a variety of weather conditions while maintaining a balanced helm. The keel/centerboard configuration is ideal for shallow water harbors, and when the board is lowered, upwind pointing is superb for both cruising and racing. A properly sized Lewmar bow thruster was professionally installed to simplify dockage and maneuverability without a distinguishable effect on the boat’s performance. Major upgrades includes AC/DC electrical panel, Xantrex inverter-charger, LED lighting, wiring, plumbing, SS hot water heater, updated electronics, Lewmar folding helmsman wheel, internal halyards, new head and holding tank. The warmth of the mahogany accented interior with details like teak and holly sole, drop leaf mahogany dining table with storage positioned below the overhead brass oil trawler lamp, new navy blue Sunbrella cushions/curtains and backlit stained glass cabinet doors are just a few of the visual upgrades when comparing to other vessels. Our years of ownership and enjoyment of this fine vessel will be remembered for a lifetime. Silverheels is located in Mystic, Connecticut. For additional information, call (860) 536-7741.
