Description: The Albin Ballad, a fast, seaworthy cruiser-racer, is a classic design by Rolf Magnusson built by Albin Marine in Sweden during the 1970ís. With only 1,300 built the Ballard is a highly sought after competitive racing boat as well as a comfortable ocean cruiser.

Featuring a lead weighted fin keel and semi-elliptical rudder, the Ballad is known for its predictable handling and balance in all conditions. The Balladís hull is solid GRP, the mast is keel- stepped, the deck is GRP sandwich molding with a smooth inner skin forming the cabinís headlining. The masthead rig has a small roller-furled mainsail and large over lapping genoas.

Equipment: This Ballad has a long, comfortable and well-protected cockpit with wheel steering, new teak grating, cocktail table and recovered cushions. The interior has a nice layout featuring double v-birth forward, private head and wet locker. The main cabin features settees with center fold-down table. The galley is aft to starboard with ice box, stove and sink with salt and fresh water. Across from the galley is a chart table and quarter birth. The interior is very clean, has ample storage and all cushions were re-done.

She has a rebuilt French Nanni 21 hp diesel engine with low hours, new engine housing insulation and blower. The wheel steering has mounted speed and depth analog screens, plus GPS and auto helm. Thereís an inventory of regularly maintained sails: Maine, Regular/Storm Jib, Lite/Medium/Heavy Genoas, and Spinnaker, all new lines, a bow mounted plow anchor and spare Danforth, GPS, remote VHS radios, plus many engine, electronics and rigging parts. The hull has been repainted awlgrip red and the non-slip white deck recently redone.
