| Description: |
This swift, elegant yacht, built to the highest standards, defines a new sailing style. Modern underwater lines and a traditional appearing deck, cockpit, cabin and topside by the Pearson Design Group has produced a yacht that lives up to the Herreshoff legacy of classic beauty. The essence of the Alerion is the thrill of a fast, responsive yacht that looks terrific and handles like a dream. Designed for ease of single-handed sailing it does not require a large or experienced crew.
Most of your time will be spent in the exceptionally large and comfortable cockpit. To assure single-handed capability, all sail control lines are led to the skipper at the wheel, so he or she can hoist, reef, trim and lower the sails via electric winches that are right at hand. This allows inviting guests aboard that you like, rather than crew you need.
The high strength carbon fiber mast by Hall Spars safely allows the elimination of the back stay, which allows a larger mainsail and better aerodynamic shape. With the patented Hoyt Jib Boom adding off-wind power, this is a 2 sail, self tacking rig that projects more sail area. The payoff is excellent light wind and off-wind speed - all easily single-handed.
The interior is a traditional design with quality materials; stylish and fully functional. This Alerion 33' appears every bit a 2013 built boat and is therefore considered in BRISTOL CONDITION. |
