Luft Gangster is a well found example of a 1980 aft cockpit S2 11. The 36 foot S2 11 came in both a center cockpit and an aft cockpit version, and while both models were well constructed, the aft cockpit version is far more pleasing to the eye. Luft Gangster sports a V-drive as opposed to the more problematic saildrive option that was offered. The deck is attached to the hull with a flexible adhesive and is through bolted every 6 inches. The bulkheads and the wood furniture are glassed to the hull, which is the superior method of construction. In addition to her sturdy build, the S2 is well laid out and boasts a roomy interior for comfortable living. Luft Gangster has proven herself with several blue water voyages, from Florida to Cuba, Mexico, Belize and back to the Clear Lake area. If you are in the market for a capable cruiser or day sailor, Luft Gangster has excelled at both and provides comfort at the dock as well.
