| Description: |
Built by a company with 40 years and two generations of boatbuilding experience, Equinox is a quality performance cruiser with all the amenities and the necessary racing enhancements. Designed by Skip Lippincott, she features a wonderful combination of functionality and classic good looks. Especially appealing for a boat her size is her moderate freeboard but with full 6 3 headroom below. Topside, she features a roller furling jib, pedestal wheel steering with a folding cockpit table, welded stainless steel bow and stern pulpits with double lifelines and a folding swim ladder built into the stern pulpit. Below decks, youll enjoy a warm mahogany interior, teak and holly sole, luxurious upholstery and spacious raw water air conditioned accommodations for up to five people. The galley is compact and functional with plenty of storage, a fold-down cutting board, a built-in trash bin, hot and cold onboard or dockside pressure water and refrigerated ice box (also accessible from the cockpit). Unique, in my experience, to the Lippincott, is a removable dustpan built into the cabin sole, great for removing the grit always carried aboard people ashore. The bulkhead mounted dining table accommodates flexible use of the main cabin. The head compartment forward includes a hot water shower with a separate vanity area. Shoal draft, fin keel, spade rudder hull is powered by a 15 HP 2 cylinder diesel inboard engine for optimum economy and dependability; and, she has a full complement of sails, equipment and rigging for racing.
