Description: Price reduced! This boat has been for sale this summer at a very attractive price point. Ads have received lots of responses and a few have come to see the boat. Some not serious offers, so no sale as yet. Why for sale? The seller has relocated from the area and is pursuing other interests

So some vessel history. Zulu was built in South Africa by Z-craft. This Tosca model has a considered well thought out layout for extended cruising, both over & under aft cabin access for example. Indeed, Zulu has around the world blue water experience and the logs to prove it. Draft is 5.5 feet so reasonable for cruising the east coast and Caribbean areas.

Zulu was put in storage six years ago at a marina on the water where owners can do their own work and storage costs are very reasonable. Here are some general thoughts about commissioning needs. It needs to be cleaned, its been stored outside. The old diesel has been already removed. The Yanmar engine is not seized. It can easily be removed from the vessel through a removable cockpit floor for commissioning service. Head sails are OK, the main has been left bent on under a cover. The cover is fully used, the sail may need a trip to the loft or replacement, TBD. The new owner will most likely wish to repaint the decks. The bottom has paint build up as you'd expect and, at some point, could use a soda blast. No blisters are apparent. The interior is a pleasant surprise, no serious damage from water intrusion! It does need to be cleaned. No holding system, but space to install one. Complete electronics in this boat, but dated so the new owner will most likely wish to update to personal preference.

So, to commission: cleaning, mainsail to the loft, engine to the shop, new bottom paint and some electronics to suit.

Priced right. It's priced so the new owner can make these commissioning improvements with room to spare; even in this slow market.

So, are you the right next owner? Got skills, time to have it your way, and the funds to pull it together? Barbados? Mexico?

Equipment: Sail inventory includes: Doyle main, 110% genoa, cruising spinnaker, storm jib and other small headsail.

Pedestal wheel steering with Autohelm 6000 and engine controls.

1989 Yanmar model 3HM35 FWC diesel engine. Approx. hours 2500. 74 gallon stainless fuel tank.

12volt electrical system. 110volt shore power electrical system.

Layout is v-berth forward, enclosed head next aft, main salon with port & starboard settee, port galley starboard navigation station. Double port berth in aft cabin.

Equipment highlights: wind instruments, depth and speed, autopilot, GPS, SSB radio, Furuno radar, battery charger and solar panels. Possible Zodiac dingy with outboard engine. Refrigeration & freezer, type unknown, gas oven and A/C.

In a 2002 survey this vessel's condition was summarized as follows: "in good general condition for her age. Built to offshore standards, she was found in
good structural condition with no serious conditions noted".
