Description:

Rapture was built in 1981 for the president of a U.S. marine company for his private use and professionally maintained. Rapture is being sold by the original owner and only owner the boat has ever had. Rapture was built in Taiwan by Bill Hardin for the owner. Rapture’s spars are aluminum, custom manufactured in an aerospace plant in Los Angeles and the boat is extensively outfitted. The forty-five foot sailboat is located in New Orleans and had no damage with the hurricane Katrina. Rapture sleeps 8 below deck although our family prefers the additional cockpit cushions as beds for sleeping for two more. The Galley has a four burner stove, a microwave and double stainless steel sink and refrigerator and a freezer. Galley has a table with seating for 6. The head has a toilet, sink and a half tub with a shower.

Equipment:

Rapture is equipped with air conditioning, heating, a navigating station with radar and dual marine radio. The Onan generator is 7.5 KW, approximately 400 hours, and a Ford-Lehman diesel with steel cylinder head linings is 65 HP, approximately 1700 hours, two automatic bilge pumps plus one manual pump, radio and stereo system throughout.
