The pilothouse (which has standing headroom and quite a lot of space) has a separate steering station (Edson wire steering system) and a hatch in the floor gives complete access to the engine. There is also a tiller in the cockpit, along with the sail control lines. This boat could be perfect as a liveaboard or a long distance cruiser.. Lots of equipment including, 2 Schaeffer 2000 roller furling units (genny & staysail). Lewmar 30 self-tailing winches, solar panel. Mainsail, 135% Genny, staysail, 8 opening ports and 2 opening hatches provide great ventilation. 2 burner alcohol stove, stainless steel sink, huge icebox, hot and cold water. Stainless anchor roller. Marelon throughhulls. Deck stepped mast with steel compression post. Lots of work done in 2005: -Decks have been completely recored using West System epoxy, contourcore end grain balsa, and solid epoxy wherever hardware is throughbolted. |
