Designed and built in 1993 specifically for polar work, she has safely voyaged in high latitudes, both in the Arctic and the Antarctic. Her steel hull and full complement of modern navigation and telecommunications gear make her a tough, reliable, and safe platform for just about anything. She is an expedition craft, tough and functional but comfortable.

Up for sale is an eco friendly expedition sailboat that has proven herself in the harshest of latitudes. The Super Disko is a Gilbert Caroff vessel designed to go anywhere in the world - especially high latitude sailing. This is truly a go anywhere sailboat. She has gone through a massive refit in 2022 and was re-powered with 2 Oceanvolt electric motors and has - as we have been told - the largest LiFePo battery bank of any non-commercial boat out there. This was done to offset the range a diesel would normally provide and still allow here to sail to remote places. Almost everything is new in 2022!
If electric motors are not your thing we could consider selling just the hull and removing the motors/batteries/motor control equipment - Hull only would be $125,000 USD.
