Located here at our Mystic Shipyard location, "Fastlane" is currently on the hard and available for top-to-bottom inspection. The J-39 is a respected, fast racer that is well suited for PHRF and the growing IRC racing rules. Designed as a true racing version of the popular J-37, 2 additional feet were added to the transom and the deck redesigned to better accomodate a crew. With a PHRF rating of 51, the J-39 is permitted an IRC certificate without an official measuring. . Below, FastLane's interior is typical of a true performance boat and features sparse accommodations with the exception of a modest V-berth and quarter-berth added to make her a racer/cruiser - now capable of sleeping up to seven. As well, she been upgraded with features suitable for occasional cruising - including a Harken split drum roller furler, wheel steering and custom teak dining table. . She's a great candidate for both IRC distance racing or PHRF "beer canning" on a Wednesday night. Along with her simple weight saving interior, a carbon mast & spinnaker pole complete a competitive performance package.
