| Description: |
This classic sea sprite has alot of soul and can handle some serious blows. I've had her for two years, sailed her often, and even took her on a 700nm voyage from New London to Gloucester to Ptown to New Bedford and back. For a small boat that is cheap to maintain, she cannot be beat. She has a small cabin ideal for camping and a full keel ideal for those extra breezy days when everyone else stays ashore. She has two mainsails and three jibs, each of varying size so you have lots of options when the wind can't make up its mind. Or, when the wind just gives up completely she has a great 6hp 4-stroke outboard that can push her to 6 knots. If the spray is kicking a bit she also has a dodger to help keep you dry. Included in the price is a deep-cycle battery which powers the lighting, built-in VHF, and the very convenient auto-helm. Also included, is her mooring at Old Lyme Dock Co until the end of the season.
She is now listed at $6000 but I am accepting all offers as I need to sell her by the end of next month. Bittersweetly, I am selling her to gain some extra capital for a business that I am starting. If you're willing to take good care of her, I'm willing to negotiate. |
