| Description: |
19' Cape Dory Typhoon Weekender, 1973, loving restored by Barlow's Boat Yard, Pocasset, and maintained at Brewer's "Fiddler's Cove" marina in N. Falmouth. This classic day sailer, designed by the noted yacht designer Carl Alberg, is perfect as a first boat or for the sailor looking to downsize to a weekender. She's been dubbed the "littlest yacht" because she looks so beautiful in and out of the water and she sails like a dream with her 3' keel. I have a page of repairs, including cetol teaking, and new electical system, done by Barlow's over the winter of 2011. I also had Squeteague Sailmakers of Cataumet make her a new main, install CDI roller furling jib hardware and change the luff on the jib to match. They also made her custom "designer blue" self-draining, vented, Sunbrella cockpit cushions, and 4 1/2" new memory foam cabin cushions and mainsail cover in the same fabric. She comes with a spinnaker in mint condition and pole, a bronze motor mount, and many, many never-used pieces of equipment bought at West Marine including a $1700 Mercury 4HP long shaft outboard motor, $200 compass, $100 anchor and chain, $200 ship-to-shore radio, heavy duty, leak-proof battery and $200 charger, 3 $100 life jackets-2 are inflatable, CG safety package, extra lines and fenders, potty, 5 stands, blocks and chains purchased new for $600 , tarp, flag, nautical towels, dishes and cabin area "rug". She's cute as a button and ready to sail away! Grab her now-no work needed except transportation from my yard to yours! She'd make the perfect Christmas gift! Will arrange to show her to serious buyers. Thanks for reading and Happy Holidays! |
