| Description: |
Well-kept-up 1973 Bristol 26 sailboat CALYPSO; Halsey Herreshoff design; dinette interior with in-line galley; hand pump fresh water; 2-compartment ice box; enclosed head with port-a-pottie and stowage compartment; generous fo'c's'le with twin berths, stowage, water tank, and 2-way door serving fwd cabin and head; all upholstery in good condition except starboard quarterberth pad needs recovering; 5'8" headroom; dinette converts to double berth by dropping table; reliable, newer Johnson outboard in lazarette well. Automatic bilge pump. All standing rigging in good shape, sails likewise (main and small Genoa). Roller furling on Genoa; mainsail cover; running rigging all serviceable; tiller tender; Bruce bower anchor with chain and rope rode; Danforth second anchor and small Danforth lunch hook. Boat is a hybrid design between standard full keel (46" draft) and shoal keel with centerboard (34" draft). Draws 40" and has centerboard slot and winch but no board. Boat tracks well to windward without CB and makes no leeway. Much hull repair and painting done to fix leaks and blemishes. New cockpit coamings. Chartplotter/depthsounder and wall-mount VHF are out for repairs. Has Bimini top with cover. Fun boat, but we're looking for something a bit bigger (one of us is 6'3"). Reasonable offers considered. Buyer must view boat personally prior to sale; payment by PayPal or bank-to-bank wire transfer only. |
