Description: NEODYMIUM is a well outfitted and maintained classic gaff rigged double ender. Her rigid construction with two bulkheads and small cabin tops is designed for seaworthiness and stability. Ample deck space with 90cm high life line and solid stanchions makes working on deck comfortable and safe even in rough conditions.
A huge engine room gives excellent visibility and access to the engine and provides extensive storage space.

All materials, dimensions and construction methods during the building process were approved by the “Germanischer Lloyd”, Hamburg, Germany. The frames are angle-profile steel 60/60/6mm. Planking is 35mm oak, which has been stored and dried for 4 years prior to use. Planks are bolted to frames with M8 bolts and nuts. Bolt heads are covered with Epoxy filler. Planks are caulked with hemp and the grooves are caulked with PU caulking. All planking and caulking is still original and in immaculate condition resulting in no leaking and a dry bilge. The deck is 30mm larch, recently (2008) glassed with 2 layers of woven mat with epoxy resin.

The full length keel is from Ferro cement: 4 train rails in concrete, multiple bolts from M18 to 27mm connect the 3.500kg ballast keel to the hull. NEODYMIUM has an internal S/S rudder shaft with wheel steering and socket for an auxiliary tiller.

NEODYMIUM is ready for sale/sail to a committed and somewhat passionate new ownership for another circumnavigation. She has recently been equipped with a Garmin 7212 digital chart plotter with touch screen as well as a 12V Katadyn Powersurvivor 40E potable watermaker.

INTERIOR ACCOMODATIONS
The main cabin has generous 6’9” headroom. According to the traditional classic character, all interior design is in solid timber (oak, larch, mahogany). Portholes, hatches provide good light and ventilation.
A bathroom with WC and stainless sink is on starboard of the companionway hatch. To port there is the galley with a new 3-burner butane/propane stove (Eno) and a stainless sink.
