This is Chris Morejohn's HOGFISH sharpie. Ocean-going flat-bottom boat designed and built by Chris Morejohn. Draws 2 feet with board up; sailed from Maine to Virgin Islands. Heavily built: fiberglass over cold-molded plywood over wood frame. Fully insulated and set up for living aboard in the Northeast. |

New main and staysl, restitched genoa. Inboard outboard in transom well (never cavitates, motors in big seas even upwind.) Chartplotter, autopilot, VHF, depth sounder. Solar panels, 400W wind generator, Trojan 6V battery banks. Rainwater collection/filtration system; shore water hookup and 250 gal tanks. Force 10 galley range. Pressurized water, AC water heater. Composting head. All LED lights. Dinghy davits, hard ply/glass dink included. 3 anchors for all occasions. Cockpit propane shower. Hard dodger and cockpit awning. Neutrally buoyant centerboard works as depth sounder of last resort. Kick-up rudder. Boat settles upright for easy bottom scrubbing. Unique boat in ready-to-sail-away condition. |
