| Description: |
Likely the best cruising equipped Hunter 460/466 on the market. Two spacious staterooms and an office. With the furling mast and jib, and an inner forestay/storm jib, she's easily maneuvered and generously outfitted to make her the most comfortable and safest choice for extended cruising or living aboard. Her original owner/engineer spent the next two years outfitting her before heading to the Bahamas each winter. This vessel has been well maintained throughout her life and is in exceptional shape. Five solar panels totaling 550 watts (nearly 50 amps) which are capable of not only driving the Spectra 400 water maker (drawing only 16 amps while making 16 gph) but also easily handling all electronics loads while also charging the two 4D AGM house batteries. The panels are positioned above the dodger/bimini/enclosure canvas (new Sunbrella in 2009) and are securely mounted on a custom stainless steel framework aesthetically integrated into the Hunter trademark cockpit arch. This unique design also incorporates custom stern dinghy davits and mounting points for antennae and the canting radome. A sixth solar panel charges the cranking battery. This vessel can remain without shore power indefinitely. There is also a 5.5 KWH Northern Lights diesel generator. The large aft cockpit extends to the full extent of the beam, Console contains auto pilot, chartplotter, radar, and twin fold down tables. A second, arch mounted, LCD chartplotter-repeater is driven by MaxSea software on her nav station laptop below (utilizing a wide range of available charting data, including all of the most up to date, free, NOAA digital charting data covering the US and Bahamas. AN SSB radio / modem enables mid-ocean email as well as the downloading of wind, wave and weather forecast data for overlay on the MaxSea charts. Two zone, Marine Air reverse cycle HVAC. Hand-rubbed teak, oyster leather seating surfaces, Corian countertops. Bottom done in Bahamas April, 2012 with very effective Seahawk Islands 44 hard ablative. Detailed equipment list/brochure available. |
