Description: Revenir is a traditional staysail ketch, extensively equipped and modified significantly for safe, comfortable cruising. Built in Southern California in 1978, she was purchased by us in 1983 and was our only home for over 25 years.

She sails well in moderate and brisk winds on all points of sail thanks to her versatile sail plan, feathering prop and fairing of the prop aperature. The custom Doyle cruising spinnaker in combination with the mizzen moves the boat easily in light air off the wind.

The sails are managed easily and safely with all halyards, sheets and furling lines leading into the cockpit. Boom brakes on both booms ensure smooth, low-stress tacking and jibing.

The boat is a strong performer under power with a newly-rebuilt, 100 HP diesel engine and 24" three-bladed feathering prop, giving optimum thrust in forward and reverse..

She has robust electrical and electronic systems powered by (12) deep cycle golf cart batteries (1350 AH capacity), 190 amp alternators on the engine and auxiliary diesel generator, plus a 184 watt solar panel array. Ample AC power for amenities like her washing machine, microwave and toaster ovens is provided by a 2000 watt inverter/charger.

An engine-driven water maker produces 20 GPH of freshwater.

Creature comforts include a Bosch clothes washer, Aquastar on-demand hot water heater and a well-equipped galley with Glacier Bay 4 cu ft freezer and 6 cu ft reefer.

The spacious salon has an entertainment system with LCD, DVD, and multi-input audio playing through Bose speakers. The wraparound settee comfortably seats 4 people around a pedestal-mounted dining table, which can also fold and lower for cocktails or form a queen-sized bed for guests with the settee.

The aft stateroom features a queen-sized bed with custom inner spring mattress, roomy storage in (2) chests of drawers and a 6' wide hanging locker and an en-suite head with shower.

The forward stateroom includes an electronic navigation, communication and computer station with an adjustable chair and large desk top area.

Custom hard dodger protects the cockpit, shelters from sun and spray and provides a solid platform for accessing the main boom, sail and cover. Vinyl tracks allow installing/removing windows and the bimini. Zippered front windows can be rolled up or down to control ventilation. Hard dodger also shelters hot water heater vent and the intruder alarm.

Factory windows have been replaced with 3/8" tinted acrylic (aft stateroom) and 1/2" tinted acrylic (main salon and forward compartment)

On-deck space is optimized by mounting the 6-person Plastimo life raft and the deck box on top of the aft cabin. The deck box has a separate compartment for stowing the chain rode for the stern anchor.

The lifelines from the cockpit aft have been replaced by SS tubing, allowing the direct mounting of solar panels, fuel jugs, additional anchors, (2) SCUBA tanks, barbeque grill, tilt-up table and (2) reels of 1 1/2" nylon webbing (used for the stern anchor rode and as jacklines).

Sturdy cast aluminum davits make deployiing and retrieving the dinghy easy, convenient and secure.

The segmented SS boarding ladder - tested to support over 300 pounds - attaches to either the port or starboard genoa track and folds up conveniently against the lifelines when not in use.
