| Description: |
43ft on deck, 50 ft overall. Enclosed pilothouse. Three cabins. One forward with a V berth and head. A large central cabin completely open with two fold down berths. A pilothouse aft with small galley. The interior is functional, but plain. The metal work is exquisite and you could not pay a professional yard enough to make the hull and cabin better looking. The boat is a poor choice for a simple livaboard, as it was intended for bluewater cruising. The plans indicate positive righting to 140 degrees. There are CAD type drawings for the hull.
Wet Exhaust system w/muffler.
Started in 1980, Launched in 1987, sold by builder in 1997.
Most equipment less than 5 years old.
330 gals diesel. two-150 gals, one 30 gals day tank. 150 gals water. Bunks for 4. Galley w/ twin sink.
Builder awarded 3rd place by Home Mechanics Magazine.
Designed by Charles Wittholz, student of Phillip Rhodes. Sandblasted inside & out, polyurethane over epoxy coated inside & out. Insulated (not foamed in place, but 1" foam boards, not below waterline). Steel ballast, sealed with concrete and welded shut.
