Tayana Yachts are constructed at the Ta Yang Yacht Building Company, Ltd. in Kaohsiung Hsien, Taiwan. Ta Yang (meaning "big ocean" in Mandarin) has manufactured semi-custom cruising yachts since 1973. Long considered one of the world's safest offshore cruisers, the Tayana 42's reputation far exceeds others in her class. They're solidly built, overrigged and built to endure. Robert Harris designed them for power, reliability, speed, grace and minimum maintenance affording their owners many wonderful cruising miles. Experienced sailors will know that this boat represents a solid cruising platform. DETAILED WALKTHROUGH
As you step aboard this beauty, the extra wide cockpit with lots of seating area is aft. Stepping down the gangway, the galley is to starboard and teh navigation station is to port. Step down forward into the main salon with dinette (both sleep one comfortably). Just fore of the main salon is the oversized head to port and hanging locker & ac unit to starboard. The manual head is finished with tile on the floor and countertop and is complete with a shower. The v-berth (master stateroom) is all the way forward sporting a queen-sized berth with extensive storage space - under the berth, drawers, shelves, hammocks, etc. Below the cockpit and aft to port is a quarter berth.
This vessel is exceptionally open and airy with the headroom at 6'6".
GALLEY
This U-Shaped galley has lots of storage and counter space and also features:
