Designed by Reichel Pugh and constructed in 1991 by McConaghy of Sydney, Australia, Vessel is a grand prix racing vessel. Modern design and a high tech construction. Vessel was of custom design and constructed specifically for the 1992 Kenwood Cup. The vessel was purchased by a Japanese racing syndicate. This vessel won overall and line honors at several racings: Japan’s Japan Cup, Hawaii’s Kenwood Cup, and later the Waikiki Offshore race in Honolulu and holds the 2007 record for the fastest monohull in the Holoholo non-stop around Oahu race. Also took 1st place in the 2008 non-stop around Oahu race, 1st in 2007 Kaua’i Channel race and 1st place in the 2006 Lahaina to Honolulu race.
