| Description: |
This is a very rugged, Bruce Roberts designed, steel, pilothouse, ketch, cutter. Her design follows the classic Joshua Slocum "Spray" design lines. She is a one owner boat, built to sail the world's oceans, and to be safe and comfortable in tropical as well as arctic waters. She was built by the present owners in 2000, by Put Veini in Latvia and then commissioned by Topp Jaht in Estonia. She is all steel, round bilge, with a full but shallow draft keel and attached skeg rudder. Between her four sails she carries about 1500 sq ft of sail. Sails are all tanbark, or a deep reddish in color. She is powered by a Perkins M90, naturally aspirated diesel rated at 81 horsepower. Her accomodations include dual (inside & outside), steering stations, a cozy saloon, galley, large master (aft) cabin, two identical forward cabins, two heads with showers, and a large, walk-in engine room. The steel hull (above the waterline), as well as the decks are insulated with 2" or more of expanding urethane foam. The interior paneling is white acrylic laminated marine grade Baltic Birch, with teak trim. She is equipped with a Dickenson diesel heater with chimney. Electronics include Raytheon, Heart, Icom, Brooks & Gatehouse and ComNav. In preparation for sale the boat was hauled, inspected, faired and painted in August of 2009. She now has new bottom paint, new blue topsides paint and new white deck paint. |
