1984 Nauticat 36 located in Connecticut for sale

36' Nauticat 36

Description: Sisu is a 1984 Nauticat 36 Cutter Ketch, Finnish built with solid hull and decks. I cut a larger hole for a new solar powered vent last summer and was simply amazed at the thickness of the hull and the teak on the deck - astonishing. Lots of upgrades in recent years, some new equipment on the boat still waiting to be installed - I’ve been knocking things off the list one at a time for the last two years, starting with the hidden infrastructure things and leaving some of the cosmetic stuff for later. I’ve been well up to date on all filters, oils, antifreeze, zincs, bottom paint, etc. Plenty of spare parts on board, too.
This boat has not been sitting - we’ve sailed her and spent more than a month living on her each of the past two years. If you are already familiar with Nauticats, then you know what a gem these yachts are. If you are new to them, then welcome - you’ll be amazed. There is a very active owners’ association online - lots of folks offering advice and their experience. Two different U.S. businesses supply parts for the Lehman super 90. She sails great.

Equipment: Highlights:
Double bunk in aft cabin, dual steering stations, two heads, Webasto diesel heater, Lehman SP90 in very good condition - 1500 hours, Borg Warner 7200 series trans, Dripless shaft seal, newer A/C wiring/box, Lewmar winches, new backup bilge pumps, wiring, hoses - electric and manual, newer VHF, depth, speedo, Raytheon GPS, Radar, Autopilot with remote, C70 plotter, refrigeration, 6 person Crewsaver liferaft (needs recert.), new aft danforth anchor mount, new aft dinghy outboard mount, new Lifesling, EPIRB, Walker Bay 8’ Rigid Inflatable Dinghy with Yamaha 2HP outboard (negotiable with boat - I’d like to keep these), new dock lines, new fenders, 1 year old 8D battery, Documented and Insured, even have most original manuals on boat, along with sales brochures from Siltala.

Still to be installed/hooked up:
Pur watermaker, Air-X wind generator, lazy jack system, AIS, MMSI capable VHF (VHF is installed, just haven’t gotten and plugged in an MMSI number yet), NIB Parker/Racor fuel polishing system, new stainless engine exhaust elbow.
I have a 2 year old survey I can share with a serious buyer - replacement cost of $560,000, Fair Market Value: $120,000.
