Description:

Tauhara is designed as a blue water cruiser for a couple. She is very easy to sail, also single handed. All sail handling is done from the protected cockpit. Normally we would sail with the genoa and main. When things get tough, there are 4 reefs in the main and a storm staysail on a roller reefing. We have sailed around 16.000NM with her since launching and are very happy with the performance. Inside she has more than 2 meter headroom throughout, a full queen size bed in the forepeak and a narrow double behing the galley. One cabin settee is setup as a sea berth with lee cloth. The main table will lower to make an additional double if needed.

SSB, 2x VHF, full Raymaine sailing instruments including GPS and chart table repeater, all linked into a dedicated PC. Vesper Marine AIS, Raymarine autopilot with wireless remote, 200L/hour watermaker, hot water cylinder on engine and 230V. 1500W full sinewave inverter. 24 Volt 370AH house bank. 12 Volt 200AH for instruments. 12 Volt 200AH for starting and backup.
