| Description: |
This boat has developed problems. Price dropped to 8000 cash if someone takes boat as is. Salt water pump on diesel engine broke. Engine is still fine. Pump already removed. Replacement is about 500. Also main sail hard to pull up. Someone needs to go up the mast and fix. The head needs to be replaced. Pump is shot. New heads 200 and up. More fixes listed below.
Slip is transferable. 286 per month. Month to month, includes parking, pool, laundry, restrooms. Transferable after credit check, proof of insurance, $39.50 fee, proof of residence & income, etc.
I’ve owned boat since 2002. 3 cylinder Universal engine rebuilt in 2001. Main sail and roller furler jib in excellent shape. The deck and bottom are in good shape. A few years ago I added a new holding tank for the head, new macerator and pump out location on deck.
Insured by Boat US. $24 membership, $125 unlimited towing coverage, $248 insurance. These are total annual costs. I also pay $28 per month for bottom cleaning and $35 per month for top side cleaning.
Other repairs needed:
1. Sand, stain and varnish exterior wood.
2 . Needs a new main sail cover. Existing very old.
3. Carpet needs cleaning.
4. Could use new bottom paint according to cleaner.
5. There is a leak somewhere in the fresh water system that supplys sinks.
One of the great things about a 28 foot boat is most marinas allow a 3 foot overhang from the slip length. A 28 foot boat is the max you can put in a 25 foot slip. Any bigger and you need a 30 foot slip. The difference saves you hundreds per month. Starboard side couch folds out to a bed for 2. V-berth sleeps 2. Quarter berth sleeps 1. Port side couch sleeps 1. Can sleep up to 6. Comes with everything you need to go to Catalina, Whale watching or the Channel islands.
All reasonable offers considered. After a little work. If your looking for an incredible classic boat this is the one for you. Sold as is where is. Cash only.
