| Description: |
The Pearson 323 is a great cruising boat and I've had a lot of fun sailing her. Unfortunately, I can no longer take care of her and she needs some TLC.
I had her repowered with a Phasor 28 hp diesel engine (less that 50 hr). This is the marine version of a Kabota. Parts are available everywhere and at a lot more reasonable price than for a typical boat engine. I also gave her a three blade folding prop which maximizes her speed both under power and under sail. |
| Equipment: |
I've never used the air conditioner but, it is there for an extended dockside stay in hot weather.
She is equipped with depth sounder, knot meter, Autohelm self-steering, and a Monitor wind-vane (needs some work).
A sturdy aluminum bridge over the cockpit provides an anchor point for the bimini, a platform for the radar dome, GPS antena, three solar panels, a dinghy motor lift, and support for a detachable seat.
The solar panels provide power to keep the refrigeration batteries charged as well as insuring that the starting battery will be available.
Extras include: four type III life jackets, BBQ grill, Davis mark II sexton, complete galley cookware and table ware, fitted V berth sheets, fenders and fender board, several flashlights, electrical and mechanical tools with some spare parts, and a spare anchor. |
