RIGGED, BILGE KEELER. DESIGNED MY MAURICE GRIFFITHS,
A FAMOUS BRITISH YACHT DESIGNER AND BUILT BY THE
RENOWNED TERRY ERSKINE BOATYARD IN 1974. LYING
PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY.
CONSTRUCTION: Marine Plywood on oak frames, beams of
laminated mahogany. One layer of glass fibre bonded to wood during
construction. |

ENGINE: Twin cylinder 15hp Lister diesel, with hydraulic gearbox, raw water cooled, hand-crank is available for manual starting, grease lubricated stuffing box. Full set of engine spares, complete shop manual.
TANKS: Two twelve-and-a-half gallon stainless fuel tanks (slight leak in one tank, needs repair), one twenty-five gallon water tank, stainless twenty-five gallon holding tank.
RIGGING: Aluminum spars, anodized deck-stepped mast, heavy gauge 6mm. stainless standing rigging.
SAILS: 370 sq. ft. working sail area, slab reefing. 2 mains both with 3 sets reefing points, 1 storm jib with reefing points, 2 working jibs, 1 yankee cut triple-reefed jib,1 cruising spinnaker (no poles needed), one parachute sea anchor.
DINGHY: 9’ hypalon Zodiac
GROUND TACKLE: 35lb. CQR, 25lb. Bruce, 40 lb fisherman, 22 lb. Danforth, 120’ rode with 3/8 chain, small dinghy anchor. Additional 220’ of chain may be available.
DOCKING and MOORING: dock lines, fenders, boathook, mooring warps, pick-up buoy.
SELF-STEERING: Monitor self-steering device, spare windvane.
SAFETY EQUIPMENT: life buoy on pushpit, life jackets, Unimetrics Sea Hawk VHF, handheld Uniden VHF, handheld Garmin GPS, handheld bearing compass, Maxwell HWC single drum electric windlass (may need repair), Davis deluxe radar reflector, fire extinguishers, jack lines (6mm stainless), Richie bulkhead mounted steering compass, Autohelm Tridata depth and knotmetre, one manual cockpit bilge pump, one electric pump (may need repair), one spare whale pump, two small manual dinghy pumps, fire extinguishers, mast head tricolour and all-round white light as well as deck mounted navigation lights, toolbox, miscellaneous spares, heavy duty bolt cutter, quantity of hand-held and parachute flares (some out of date, in date Pains and Wessex).
MISC: Foghorn, sail repair kit, spare shackles including snap shackles, florescent anchor light, extensive reference library, binoculars.
GALLEY: Ice box, single burner gimballed kerosene stove, well-equipped with cooking and dining ware, whale tiptoe pump. |
