We use it regularly and maintain it rigorously. She has cruised up and down the California coast and is as ready as ever to continue doing so. This yacht is spacious and comfortable. We've added all the essential extras to make her easy to single hand, safe, and convenient. My wife and I own the boat, we are private sellers. We love this boat but are now flying airplanes and can't really justify both. We have priced the boat to sell and it is offered at a fair price below the common valuations in BUC and NADA. It is also offered well below comparable offerings on Yacht World or other brokerage sites. This is a great boat and if you are looking for something similar in size you should check her out. This make and model of Hunter stands up extremely well to Catalina's and other similar production boats. It has the spacious open air feel and convenience that make Hunters so attractive, but has a back stay and configuration that makes her strong and reliable. Many riggers that don't like hunter's lack of backstay, fractional rigging and swept back spreaders do like this model of hunter. Basically, she is safe, strong and comfortable. We have her configured for cruising with a 3 blade fixed prop and cruising sails. She does have a spinnaker halyard and with more aggressive racing features this make model has been know to do quite well on longer downwind races. This is not a tubby or awkward sail boat. She is an excellent balanced cruiser, safe and comfortable. I've had her in some serious weather and she performs well in all conditions. |
