| Description: |
The 1973 Pearson 10 Meter is a 33 ft. sloop rigged sailing vessel of moderate displacement, although somewhat heavier than most other production sailboats of this size and age. The boat shows evidence of quality construction when originally built with what most would consider oversize chain plates, attachments and rigging.
The vessel is of molded fiberglass construction, solid fiberglass below the waterline. The deck is of one-piece fiberglass construction with core material for strengthening and rigidity. Non-skid is molded into the deck and cockpit. There is a stainless steel pulpit and push pit with double lifelines between. The aft cockpit is self-bailing.
The superstructure is constructed of fiberglass with core material. There are two hatches, one above the V-berth forward and another approximately amidships. Entry is through the after end of the superstructure via the cockpit. The superstructure to deck joint is in good condition with no gel coat cracking sighted.
The interior begins with a void space forward for anchor rode with V-berth sleeping area just aft. Aft of the V-berth to starboard is storage space and a hanging locker. Directly to port is the head area. Aft of this area is the settee to starboard and convertible dinette/settee to port. Aft of the port settee is the navigation table with quarter berth directly behind. To starboard is the galley. |
