1976 Tanzer 16 sailboat for sale for $1000.
I bought this boat 2 years ago to get back into sailing and have since purchased a much larger boat to do some cruising on. The trailer in the pics comes with the boat, however it is NOT titled. The trailer has seen its better days but it is still perfectly usable.
Boat comes with a mainsail, jib and 120% genoa all in sailbags. There is also a small aluminum danforth style anchor in the boat. Everything on the boat works as it should. It is a fast and responsive boat that can be used for daysailing or for racing. The cockpit accommodates up to four adults; the boat can be singlehanded fairly easily as well. There is a bracket on the stern for an outboard, however there is no outboard included.
This boat has a very active class association that holds regular regattas in North Carolina. There are also many articles on their website that pertain to maintenance and modifications of these class boats. The website is found at
