| Description: |
1977 Cape Dory 25. This sailboat turns head no matter where she is, whether cruising down the Chesapeake Bay or on the hard for the winter in a local boatyard.
She is NOT a fixer upper.
Have you read about old boats with soft decks, blistered hulls, and major repairs? You can forget that with a Cape Dory. This boat is solid. She is ready to go now, and I mean right now. All systems work, radio, lights, compass, depth indicator, roller furler jib, auto tiller and newish Envinrude outboard. Bottom was painted in the spring of this year. I will not bore you with a list of all the stuff that is included.
This boat is a classic full keel cruiser. She is very safe and was built for coastal cruising in New England. She is perfect for a new sailor to learn the ropes. She is easy to sail singlehanded, easy to dock, and cheap to maintain. The draft is only 3 feet, perfect for the Chesapeake Bay and local rivers. 2008 Survey available.
The reason I am selling? I hope to buy a Cape Dory 30 after sailing this boat for the last four years.
In the water in Reedville, Va, a very economical place to keep a sailboat.
Buy her now before I change my mind. $8200 which is what I paid for her. Call 804-746-8406 |
