Description: The J/35 is a great success story. At a time when many 70/80s boat manufacturers were shutting down, J-Boat introduced the 35 in 1983 and by the time the design ended it was the early 1990s and about 330 of these boats were produced. The J/35 was created for one design racing and turned out to perform well to its PHRF/IRC handicap of 72. The J/35 is an easy to sail performance boat with basic accommodations and a great reputation that earned itself a place in the American Sailboat Hall of Fame.

This particular J35 is equipped with wheel steering and has been predominantly used as a cruising boat. Uniquely this vessel is very well outfitted with cruising features like; Forced Air Heat, Electric Windlass, Vacu-Flush Toilet, Hot Water, Shower, Dodger, Autopilot and many more conveniences. Although the cruising amenities set this boat apart from most of the J35 fleet it is still a sailors boat. Equipment such as the Cockpit Control For The Backstay, Rigid Vang, Harken Fairlead Cars, Harken Traveler, ST Winches, Strong Track & a large Sail Inventory should remind you that you are still on a J35. The fresh water cooled Yanmar Diesel has under 700hrs which is a reflection on how sparingly this boat has been used.

The current owners improvements and care including reinvestment into new electrical systems and an extensive array of network instruments are just few more examples of why this is such a unique opportunity.

"The J/35 is a magical boat that turns good sailors into great sailors" Bob Johnstone
