Description: Vancouver 27. One of the all-time classic long-distance cruisers. Designed by Rob Harris without compromise for short handed blue-water long distance sailing, she is strongly built, comfortable, a great all-weather performer, safe and seaworthy

The above photo and the first four photos below are from my purchase survey in 2013, the rest are from April this year (haul-out in Port Angeles WA, trailer load, enroute to Florida and lastly in my front yard FL).

I purchased her on Vancouver Island in July 2013, imported her in the USA at Port Angeles WA 4th July 2013. Then sailed her in the Straits of Juan de Fuca and the San Juan islands for the next 8 months.

She sails beautifully with no vices, is easy to sail 'hands-off' even in the ugly straits chop (open ocean will provide different challenges!). I love this boat.

April this year I towed her to SW Florida so to re-visit Caribbean haunts. However, I now find myself with a serious health condition and do not have energy to look after her. Ughh. She needs a new home, soon.

If you are looking for a good V27 give me a call. I'm asking $18,500 (below book). A trailer is available for an additional $2000. If you purchase both, I might be able to deliver her a moderate distance (up to a 750 miles or so). Do make me an offer, She would really appreciate a good home, and deserves it.

I am the second owner, the PO had her for 36 years, and looked after her really well.

I'll forward a copy of my purchase survey (dated: 5/17/2013) should you demonstrate that you are serious.

Looking forward to your call and your surveyors visit!

Thanks for reading this.

Fair winds...
-Mark

Equipment: If I were putting her back on the water, I would:
1. Install new standing rigging
2. Purchase new cushions with new covers.
3. Install a new masthead VHF antenna.
4. Update the electrics and wiring.
5. Anti-foul the bottom.
6. Replace the Propane electrical shut-off.
7. For USA coastal sailing, a holding tank or? (portapotti, bio toilet, nice cedar bucket! etc).

She does not need sails (they are in great condition).
The engine is a 2 cyl Yanmar (2GM) with drip-less seal and runs like a sewing machine.
She has an Electric Windlass (Lewmar), Harken roller reefing and an available 120amp alternator with ARS4 controller. Plus a whole host of 'stuff' (anchors/chain/warps, fenders, sheets/ropes/small stuff, water containers, tools, gps'ess, books... and more).

I have an older (way old) Atoms pendulum servo that I could be persuaded to part with if you are an aficionado of such. It was bought for this boat, but I have not re-furbished or installed it.
