The sporty Dufour 40 is built for performance cruising and/or serious racing. The Duforu 40 arrived in 1st place in the International IMS 360 Race earlier this year. This is not to say that the boat is an all out racer, but it can be if you want it to be. The boat is more of a cruiser that likes to go fast.
Equipped with the latest sailing technology and fluid lines, the Dufour 40 shows a strong potential for speed on all points of sail. With all essential control lines to hand, the helmsman can concentrate on sailing well to exploit all potential of this vessel.
Down below there is plenty of standing headroom throughout, even for the tallest sailors. This means the boat offers up to eight people the pleasure of living on board as pleasantly at sea as in harbor.
It features a spacious navigation area with a full size chart table, a well laid-out galley and a large and light saloon with good size cabins, a separate stall shower room, a good size forward cabin placed aft of where a typical "Vee" berth would be with plenty of storage forward, ST6001 Auto Pilot, ST 60 instruments mounted on both sides of the pedestal for easy viewing no matter where you are in the cockpit, a tridata repeater at the nav station, Lazy Jack-Stack Pack system for the Mainsail and just so much more.
