In 1970, Vince Lazarra founded Gulfstar Yachts in St. Petersburg, building sail and powerboats of up to 65 feet. Between 1972 and 1975 Gulfstar built many of the 44' MKI and MKII Motorsailors, but only a couple of the custom motorsailors. "Captain Morgan" is one of those custom large roomy motorsailors ideal for cruising, living aboard or a weekend apartment on the water. She has a large center cockpit, 185HP Perkins diesel, 7.5KW genset and a very shoal draft making this cruiser very popular. She sleeps 8 with 2 staterooms and 2 heads.
We have reduced “Captain Morgan” $25,000 for a quick sale as is where is. The vessel has been sitting for years now and is in need of a complete rebuild. The master stateroom is located aft with an in suite head and stall shower, a double berth to starboard and a single berth to port. Moving forward find the large engine room to starboard with easy engine and generator access and storage cabinets and lockers to port with twin Norcolds. Continuing forward to port is the L-shaped galley with abundant storage, good counter space and the large navigation station to starboard followed by the straight settee to starboard and the convertible dinette with seating for 6 to port. Forward of the dinette is the forward head w/ shower and to starboard a large hanging locker followed by the huge V-berth stateroom.
"Captain Morgan" sleeps 3 owners and 2 guests in 2 private staterooms, 2 on the convertible dinette and 1 on the settee for a total of 8. There is 1 guest head w/ shower and 1 master head w/ stall shower. |
