Racing sails have only two seasons on them. Lots of older sails. (3 sets). LED running lights (new in 2006) which draw little power, new battery in 2009. New melges mast in 2005. Adjustable backstay, Boom tent, tiller extension, solar panel, boom kicker, plus lots of other stuff. Boat has a road worthy trailer with new tires in 2006. Trailer has brakes
Boat has a nice cuddy cabin which can sleep two. Boat has a self bailing cockpit and new companionway hatches. Boat stays pretty dry below. Have taken the boat on week long trips, lots of fun.
This is a boat for someone who enjoys sailing and wants to own a piece of Detroit. This is hull #27, and is the newest one. There were only 27 built. The crescent is known as the world's first fiberglass sloop, first constructed in 1953. There is an active one design on Lake St. Clair and the Detroit river with 12 boats that race regularly. Although the design is old, it is still competitive today. I personally have had the boat |
