| Description: |
Solid Catalina 30 for sale, but like any boat of this vintage, she does require a little work prior to launching. The bottom had gelcoat blisters (not into glass) so it is almost completely stripped down (sanding needed around stern). At this point it will be ready for epoxy barrier coating, and bottom paint. The topsides are stripped down, faired, and ready to be primed and painted. The deck requires some minor glass work and needs fresh paint. The standing rigging needs to be updated, and one spreader needs to be repaired. New chainplates onboard but not yet installed. Much of the interior wood work has been replaced, and/or redone. The interior does need a little work as well. Overall the boat needs work, but it is nothing major. The interior is dirty just from working on it, and from sitting up. The plumbing system needs to be updated, and the 12V electrical system is ok and works without any problems, but it could use a fresh update as well. If you can do the work yourself you are looking at 5,000, at which time you would have a 20,000 boat. That estimate includes a lot of new deck hardware that isn't necessary unless you wanted it. To paint the boat (yourself) is 1400.00. After that, it would just be re-rigging her, and she could be launched.
The exterior photo's below do not show the bottom sanded done as she now is.
