Description:

41Ft Islander 1977 The yacht is currently cruising Costa Rica seeking out surf spots and making passages south towards Panama where we will be transiting the canal and heading east into the Carribean. I have made this boat a seaworthy and very well equiped passage maker. She sails beautifully and covers good distances easily. The rig is extremely versatile and allows the boat to perform very well up wind, she'll hold full sail to 20 to 25kts easily and with the asemtrical spinnaker she flys off the wind, regularly doing 7's and 8's. The interior is of varnished teak and looks great. It's a very sensible layout with many hand holds and spacious seating for six or seven around the table. The head is a Groco and works very well either electric or manual. There is a Log, depth sounder, VHF radio, Barometer/hygrometer, there is currently no chart plotter fitted. The chart table for me is a very key feature on any boat, this is a nice one. From the companion way you walk down four or five steps to where the galley is on your left. On the right is the pilot berth, which is very comfortable and about seven feel long. Forward of the chart table is a storage locker where I store safety equiptment, Then forward of that in the saloon on the stbd side is the setee, which the back folds up and turns into two good bunks. On the Port side is another bunk of good size, under both is dry storage. The head is as described above, and the forward berth in a double or two singles.
