| Description: |
28' Southern Cross cutter with Bronze winches and portholes. The hull and topsides are in good shape. She shines up nicely. The topsides deck skid coating shows some wear around the edges and the teak toe rail is rough in places (see photos). The interior is good except the main cabin cushions show wear and the teak sole has some water damage at the starboard aft corner caused from below by a slow leaking ice box. The sails except for the drifter are original. The diesel, which is an 11HP Universal Atomic, has worked perfectly every year. It has literally started on the first turn every spring. The oil has been changed in the spring every year and also when putting her away most years. Some of the exterior lights don't work. I think the switches are corroded. All that being said, one could launch and sail the boat without doing anything to it other than minor repairs to the furler.
I am asking $13,000. According to the NADA book the value range is from $13K to 15K. The low end of the range is for a boat that shows excessive wear and may not be in running order.
The boat is located at the New Horizons marina at the west end of Sodus Bay in Sodus Point NY. |
