For Sale is a 1976 32’ Bristol Sloop.
Currently she is insured as a liveaboard charter boat, and does sunset sails, and comfortably houses our family. She recently took us to Havana, and loves to spend weekends out at uninhabited islands in the Keys.
She has a ¾ modified Keel, keel hung rudder which protects the MaxProp three foil folding prop. This helps significantly with backing to starboard, as she is a left hand screw.
She had three coats of bottom paint in ’12 when she was last on the hard, with the first just now starting to show signs of wear, when we took her to Havana. She was always kept in cleaner water where hard growth wasn’t as significant as surrounding areas in the Keys.
She has a brand new Raymarine V-100 auto-helm, a Garmin 441, a Vitrifrigo holding plate with freezing capabilities, pressurized water in the head, and galley, as well as with an exterior wash down with a 50’ hose to wash off those anchors. All of this runs 24/7/365 on the 200 watt aft mounted solar panel. The panel runs through a Xantrex C40 controller, then goes into 4- 6 volt house batteries that were replaced this past fall. As was the 12 volt starting battery, which are separated by the selector that will allow both banks to charge at once, or you can select which bank to individually charge. She has a brand new Prestolite 55-amp alternator, if you get in a pinch and need to use the Universal M20 diesel to add some charge to the bank.
All of the canvas has been replaced, and covers have been custom made for the exterior bits, the magma grill, lifesling, horseshoe, and helm. The 150% is my favorite and has significantly more wear and tear than the 110, and storm sail. The Asymmetrical spin is always fun too! She is currently hank-on, but we will consider installing a roller-furler unit.
