30' Bristol 30 sloop

Description: *MAKE AN OFFER*

We are selling "EOS," an antique 1974 Bristol 30, and the 10' West Marine RIB with 7hp Mercury. This is a great boat for weekend cruising. EOS is a well-constructed, solid vessel with a 1" thick cored fiberglass hull, a Yanmar 16hp diesel engine. We've moved to the Virgin Islands to crew a chartered sailboat, and so we don't have time or proximity to give EOS the attention she needs. She needs to be hauled out for some engine/prop maintenance before any long trip. Needs new portlights.

Equipment: Hull & Deck
Dimensions are 30' LOA, 9' beam, 4.5' draft. The hull is 1" thick, and both the hull and deck are cored fiberglass. Full keel, so the rudder and prop are protected. We've hauled her out every year we've had her: 2015, '16, '17. The bottom was painted in 2015 with SeaHawk Antifoul. This year we noticed some blistering which should be addressed at the next haul-out, but otherwise the hull and keel are in good shape. We painted the topsides this spring- we removed ALL the old paint and primer, and added two layers of Interlux Primer followed by two layers of Interlux Topside 2-part polyurethane. We've had a regular bottom diver, coming every few months to clean below the waterline.

Sails & Rigging
The sails are in good condition- we've kept the jib inside when not in use, and the mainsail has a sailbag/cover. There is also an extra pair of sails in storage, plus a hand stitcher and sail repair tools. The rigging is in fine shape, some parts of the stays and chainplates could use rust remover but they won't need replacing. The deck could use some work- we planned to sand, build up around the deck fittings, then repaint. We've got the Awl Grip deck paint in white, for when you're ready to do that. There's a bosun's chair and a whole spool of brand new line from West Marine which matches the color scheme, for when you're ready to change out the lines (they don't need it yet).

Starter battery was replaced in 2016. Both house batteries replaced last year. 30Amp shore power cable (40' long) andnew receptacle inlet. And we installed 120v outlets throughout the interior.

Bimini with full dodger, but front eisenglass needs replacing. Depth sounder. Two anchors (Bruce and Danforth) with at least 200' rode each. Forward running lights are out, we've been using a portable nav light.

Tanks & Head
Fuel: 18gal. Fresh water: 60gal. Bladder: 15gal. Jabsco manual flush marine head, good condition. Deck wash in cockpit.

Interior & Living
We made the (tough) decision to paint the interior last year. The dark wood veneer was original but not in great shape, and contributed to an overall darkness in the cabin. So, we removed all paint overhead, primed all veneer, and painted all a light "juniper" (Gladden semi-gloss) with navy accents. It's refreshing and really helps let light in.
Cabin sleeps four. The cushions/upholstery are in good shape, interior and cockpit. The cushions for back support are mismatched but in fine shape as well. We have new, custom made curtains. She needs new portlights (2 large and 3 small).
There's a 2-burner propane stove (collapses to save space), fed by an 8gal propane tank mounted in the cockpit. Also a stainless steel Magma propane grill that mounts back there. There's a built-in ice box in the galley, and we also had a small fridge nestled perfectly in the port side countertop. We made a shore water line to the galley sink, so you can have running water direct from the hose to the faucet, instead of filling the water tank.
