Description: ** NICE CRUISER FOR SALE AT STEEPLY DISCOUNTED RATE DUE TO SOME EXTERIOR DAMAGE FROM HURRICANE MICHAEL ** TAKING BEST OFFER BY END OF MAY **

(Will consider trade for travel trailer / RV)

Samba appraised last year at $37k and survived Hurricane Michael in good condition. Unfortunately the military is moving me and I'm forced to sell without repairing. Let my loss be your tremendous gain! With a bit of work this could easily be a $30k boat again.

The Good Stuff:

Samba is a nicely-appointed fractional sloop cruiser with a forward V berth and an extremely spacious aft cabin. She feels broad and airy for her size, mostly due to the large beam and an open, L-shaped galley. All surfaces are good condition teak veneer, trimmed in teak hardwood.

The best thing about Samba, and what is guaranteed to give her buyer instant value, is a 2013 Yanmar 3YM30 3-cylinder marine diesel engine with less than 300 hours on it. Absolutely no damage occurred to the engine or gearing due to the hurricane. In fact, I recently replaced the exhaust elbow for $700 and she runs like a kitten.

In addition to standard options, Samba has a 12V top-loading refrigerator and an aftermarket propane stove with 2 burners and oven, mounted on a gimbal in the galley.

The bad stuff:

The hurricane caused damage ranging from light to moderate on the exterior of the vessel, almost all of which I consider cosmetic. A fairly exhaustive list:
- Standing rigging pulled loose
- One spreader needs to be re-welded to the mast
- Some cleats pulled out of the fiberglass of the cockpit lockers
- The helm appears bent, but it's a cable/pulley type helm and works as is
- Some scratches on the side where it rubbed against another boat in the storm. This is only paint damage; the fiberglass appears sound.
- I took the sails down and haven't put them back up. One reefing line for the mainsail was cut in my haste.
- The main power receptacle needs to be replaced (burnt out, not related to hurricane)

Obviously you can see more in person! Really it did quite well in the storm.
