If you are looking for an easy to sail, fast, comfortable, easy to maintain boat with Practically new sails and auxillary that you can loaf around in or race, this is the boat.
Full 8 beam and can comfortably seat four adults but is designed for maximum of six people. Our best trips have been two couples and two kids!
Pelican was in very good condition when we purchased her and some of the improvements weve made include:
-new Dacron custom mainsail from Schurr Sails fall 2015
-new furling Dacron jib also from Schurr fall 2016
-most of running rigging replaced in last two years
-new Lehr propane 2.5hp outboard November 2017. Extension hose for larger bottles included.
-trailer with newer tires (3yrs old prior to bring her down, bearings replaced at that time as welll), new LED lights with backup lights (five pin flat connector).
-repairs: the boat has had some touch-up gelcoat work done over the years to outer flange due to mild dock rash. In addition, we chose to fix two oilcan dents in the hull where the rear bunks contact the boat. The depressions were fixed and new cross rib built and placed inside the hull and lazarette floors recovered and painted. There are no soft spots in the deck and transom is solid. The hull was wet sanded and polished and the rudder was faired. (Current FL reg numbers are on the boat though not shown on these photos.) The boat rides a little higher in the water and sails even better!
35min to rig initially, 20 with practice.
Includes four pfds, paddle and Danforth anchor, boat cover.
