Description: Nicholson 39 centre cockpit ketch for sale Dawn, built by Camper and Nicholson in 1978. She has been in the current ownership since 2005 and is now for sale as the owners are retiring from sailing. Currently located in St. Lucia.

The hull and superstructure are white and the sail covers, sprayhood and bimini are blue whilst the decks are finished with cream non-slip deck paint. The long cockpit with bimini cover provides comfortable social seating when sailing or at anchor.

Length 39 (11.89 m). Draft 56. Beam 115.

The Nicholson 39 is a very good yacht to sail as her easily managed ketch rig and heavy build make her a great sea boat. The Isuzu 60HP diesel engine gives an approximate cruising speed of six knots. The rig has anodised aluminium spars main and mizzen with stainless steel rigging. A full set of sails and a flasher.

The navigation equipment includes Furuno GPS Navigator, Alpha Marine autopilot, Raymarine Tactic wind, speed and depth equipment and Standard GPS, VHF transceiver.

Below deck is a spacious three cabin layout which gives great accommodation with room for family and friends, finished with teak joinery and light blue upholstery. The well equipped galley is separate from the saloon which gives extra space for socialising and dining. The aft cabin can be a double and single berth. It has a hanging locker and ensuite facilities. The forepeak has a V berth with infill and access to the foreward heads compartment.

A well equipped and well maintained example of this classic and admired yacht which has had much refurbishment and new equipment during the current ownership.
