Pixie is a great boat with a lot of upgrades and still in need of some work to get her back in the water. Classic story of me wanting to get back on the water and life catching up and keeping me away and now its time to let someone else realize their dream. I pulled her out of the water 5 years ago to add a roller furling and have an new headsail made, and fix up some leaking cap rail. That turned into pulling all of the teak cap rail and fiberglassing the whole thing, adding a stainless steal bowsprit and boomkin, a flush lazerette hatch, removed one fuel tank, replaced the original kerosene stove/oven with a new propane force 10 one and made a new dodger. Prior to setting sail the first time I also repainted the entire interior, rebuilt the vbirth to accommodate a taller sleeper, myself, and installed a new fridge unit among many other things. This boat is still a project, but for someone with the right skill set, she will be one of the nicest westsails on the ocean. The biggest issue as I see it, is the engine is no longer starting. I've had a mechanic take a look and recommended replacing it. There are many other updates that I'm not remembering right now, but please feel free to contact me with any interest and hopefully we can get Pixie back on the water asap! I've got lots of photos of her current state so please email for more photos |
